Just felt like writing that…

I’ve got a new design cooked up for Ewan News. Finally… still need to finish all the fanlistings I signed up for. I’m nuts.

Going to carve pumpkins tonight and decorate our porch for Halloween if it’s not raining outside which it has been doing all day off and on – yes it does rain in Los Angeles. And of course watch GG and Roswell. Can’t wait.

Still deciding on what kind of plane tickets to get… if my boy is coming to visit next weekend or I might go up to Vancouver. Not sure yet what we are going to do but I need to decide very soon or it’ll be too late. Then I have to figure out what tickets to get for when I go up to Edmonton right after Xmas for a week. I’m really excited about being up there during the winter… well, I’m dreading how freaking cold it’s going to be but at the same time I’m excited to see snow and be there with my boyfriend’s family.

Well geez… at least I saw them with Tim once. If only once…

What the flip? This is what makes me so hesitant to give the Strokes a try… I think I have a feeling I’m going to respond to them like I did with Travis. But I’m sure I’ll get talked into going to a show of theirs soon… since two of my friends now like the Strokes after I told them about them after Laura ranted about them (even though she now LOVES them) being this way too loved (in England) band.

I’m in a really weird mood… physically feeling yucky. Mentally much the same.

I can finally link to… wait, I had to check what name to use… lol… I can finally link publicly to Laura’s site. Are you sure you know what you are doing L? I promise there is much fun to be had browsing her site. Now everyone else can be as lucky as the few who got to visit during it’s blackout period.

So I finally realized I can do spellcheck using blogger. Am I stupid or what?

Finally got to watch Roswell and GG last night. Since I saw Remy Zero and Travis on Tuesday night. Remy Zero were AMAZING! I need to get their cds. I love them! Travis was good but they just don’t do it for me. I can’t explain it. It is fun watching Dougie though.

So GG was cute. My mom watched most of it with me but she finds the show annoying. She said she liked Roswell’s episode way more (and in general). She finds the conversations on GG to be so unrealistic. And I had to admit to that. I like GG for the most part. But Lorelai can be really annoying. And sometimes the show IS to cute and wrapped up in it’s cuteness to come across effectively. Once I finished watching Roswell, I realized what my mom was talking about…. Roswell was SOOOOO good. I totally cried at the end when Isabel accepts Jesse’s proposal and Alex disappears. Plus the Michael and Maria moments were so great too (Clean sheets!)… and even the Max and Liz moments… and I liked seeing Kyle being a friend to not just Isabel but Michael too (no alien funny business!)… Kyle is the coolest! I think it was the best episode so far of the season.

Ok… so seeing a photo like this makes me more determined NOT to watch Smallville. I refuse to give that show a chance. I’m sorry but I just can’t stomach watching that show…

I’m currently attempting to listen to Britney’s new cd. My pal burned me a copy. So I don’t hate or love her – she cracks me up. She’s someone who constantly says the most hilarious things (my favorite of all time is when she was asked who she was going to vote for after she turned 18 in the next presidental election and her response was: ‘Whoever my mom and dad tell me to vote for. I don’t have time to keep up with what’s on tv.’) and it’s entirely too easy to poke fun at her. But I can see how she is fun and her music can be fun. Hell, I even ended up seeing her in concert once! So back to her new cd…

It’s um… annoying that she is not growing as an artist at all. But then, is she really an artist? I’m Slave 4 U is growing on me (though it ends really weak). I will admit that. However, her vocal talent or lack of actually trying to sing better than a little girl trying to sound sexy and breathy is getting more than a little tired. I believe she CAN sing better than she does. It’s like she can’t get out of the clutches of Max Martin. It’s sad. ‘Overprotected’ I found especially hilarious and cringe worthy. The lyrics are all about how her life has been overprotected, wanting to find a way to take chances, take control of her destiny, but that she’s only a girl so what can she do, etc… and she sings like a little girl with horrible effects on some of her vocals. So far, half of it sounds like a lot of Backstreet Boys songs for some reason. While the other half sounds like she’s heading in the Janet Jackson sex/trashy pop realm. So the ‘I Love Rock and Roll’ cover… I was told to be scared with good reason! Yikes! And I can’t believe Dido co-wrote a song for Britney! What is up with Dido??!?!?! More bizarre is it sounds like some Faith Hill/Shania Twain ballad. Supposedly it’s the next single. Not a good choice. There are more enjoyable dancy songs to choose from… the song with Justin Timberlake is actually pretty catchy and different from the rest of the album. That would be a good choice. Ok… enough of listening to this! I’m going to go crazy!

Tonight I’m going to see Remy Zero and Travis. I’m sad cause my Phantom boys aren’t going to be there. My friend saw them last Saturday night. Had many moments with Alex who was quite friendly and drunk as was my pal. He also literally ran into Taylor Hanson when going up to the VIP room. Hilarious.

My mom is taping GG and Roswell for me. Alex is back on Roswell… if only for a brief bit. Colin did a great job on Band of Brothers the other night. I’m like addicted to watching that. I love seeing Donnie Wahlberg doing so well! And all the actors are wonderful. It’s moving too fast though. Only two more episodes. There should have been like 20 or something. Tomorrow night I think I’m going to see a free screening of Donnie Darko. It seems like a really weird movie but all I know is, Alex of PP is in it so I’m there.

My fanlisting is open. Hehehe… I like it. All kudos to Teresa for doing such cool work. I’m really truly flattered.
