Bolt of Blue

Alright… Down With Love was… wow! I think my cheeks still hurt from laughing so hard last night. The trailer does not come close to showing how this is more of a sex comedy than a romantic comedy and that it seriously is laugh out loud hilarious. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to go.

Here’s an edit of the review I posted on the Ewan board… don’t click on the read more link if you don’t want to get spoiled (though I’m leaving out the serious plot twists and turns to not completely ruin the film for anyone… I really do recommend this if you are not just a Ewan fan but a fan of clever, witty films that have a refreshing sense of humor and style. It’s amazing to me this even got made and works so well coming out of a Hollywood studio but it’s a testament to the wonderful script and director Peyton Reed for pulling the whole thing off!)…

Oh Trent Ford you are delicious. And yes, I can’t wait for How To Deal. Go watch trailer now (though really, it’s silly they say “Introducing Trent Ford” since he has made other movies yo!) It doesn’t look half bad and Alison Janey is in it! And Mackenize Astin (oh did I have have a crush on him back in the day)! I wish I could get a copy of Deeply on DVD though. Hmm… oh crap! I CAN!

I’m far too giddy that Clay made it to the Wild Card round for American Idol. What is wrong with me? I never watched the first season at all but now I’ve gotten sucked in by a goofy elf boy from North Carolina. God help me.

Grammy’s: BORING as usual. At least the parts I suffered through. However, Coldplay made me cry they were so amazing.

Coachella madness is driving me to an early grave or heart attack or whatever. Blur were just added to the bill today! All day I’ve been close to exploding with happiness and excitement*.

This whole week with my man has been groovy. I’m more severely lacking sleep than ever before, I look like crap, I’m coming down with a cold, I’m exhausted but I’m happy… we’ve hung out with friends, I stood firm in my moral stance and did NOT see the Devil over the weekend (seeing Shanghai Knights full of jokes making fun of Brits was the ticket man!), been eating too much good food, saw TTT again (6 times now I think!), went to a lively wedding shower, and saw Interpol…

Like I’ve stated before, I suck at reviews mostly cause I’m just too tired or feel I can’t properly relate the experience for posterity’s sake. So here follows an AIM convo between myself and Miss Laura where in I discuss the show. I figure this was way easier. And right now, it’s all about the laziness!

I will be putting together my list of who should win what for all possible categories (too bad my work no longer gets screening passes otherwise I might be able to pick best animated short and some of those other ones where things are nominated that most of the public never gets to watch) and I won’t necessarily go by who was officially nominated since it will be my list. My own important list. Ok. You should all do the same. I think I’ll wait until March. Maybe. We’ll see.

I honestly have been meaning to post about all the stuff I’ve been up to. But I find I’m just lacking in the word department to get it all down. Once I do start a post it all comes out boring anyways. Who really wants to read the details anyways? Plus I’ve been busy cleaning up my place in preparations for my boy coming in – just under 36 hours to go!

So this last week or so in a nutshell… Johnny Marr is one cool dude. I think I’m his new best friend. Jonas, come back to LA man! Oh wait, DOLL will be back for Coachella. As will Johnny Marr. I heart Sam. Getting into an almost fight at a PP show is retarded. Big City Rock well, rocks! I heart Sam. IKEA is evil. Topher Grace is hot as hell in person. Jesse Bradford is one nice guy. And I actually voted for the first time for American Idol last night. I admit this. I’m not ashamed. Well, trying not to be. Can you guess who I voted for? Hint: It’s ALL about the elf!
