crazy

This last week was hectic (work, real life, taxes, the continuing clean up of our condo). Crazy, mind-exploding hectic. I keep wanting to post but then getting sidetracked by so many things competing for time and attention. I started this post days ago and only now am finishing it up.

It started off with a trip to Legoland* last Saturday, March 26. Remi and I got season passes so we can return for a few openings and events this year. And it’s too good a deal to pass up.

We ended up going on the worst day we could have picked. The park was packed like never before because of this free ticket promotion. The lines were long for everything with kids and strollers everywhere you turned. We ended up not going on a single ride but still spent the whole day in the park. So we’re the only adults there without kids, but we love it. We got to see the almost finished new Las Vegas mini-land. It was rad.

On Tuesday we got the good news about my sister-in-law. I’m a proud Auntie for the 2nd time. I hope to go up soon to visit them in SF and then I can gush over my new little nephew.

Last week was also the mad publicity rush for “The Tudors”. JRM was seemingly everywhere, including in paparazzi photos for really the first time. Been trying to keep up.

Now that we have a new toy to play with, I’m in love with my scanner. I got a new scanner a couple years ago (that is apparently no longer being made) but never put it to much use because of many computer issues. Now I can properly make use of all it’s features. It’s so fast, takes up no room, easy to move around, and the ability to scan articles and convert into text files is incredible.

And last night was the first episode of “The Tudors”. I loved it. Jonny was splendid. I especially loved the confessing scene. What is it about Jonny in the confessional? He always shines in moments of anguish like that. I can’t wait to see the rest of the series and I’m really happy that the show is getting acclaim and attention. I hope it does well for Showtime so there can be another season.

* For those not in the know, Remi loves Legos. Our spare bedroom is full of containers of various bricks. And we have Lego sets all over our place, on top of bookshelves, the microwave, the coffee table… we’re a Lego household.
