Still awake. Tears indeed shed when it was announced that Barack Obama is going to be the 44th President of the United States of America. Just typing that … wow.

But heart sinking seeing the returns come in regarding Prop 8. Looking at county results, I must say I’m very disappointed in you Los Angeles! WTF!?!

Glad this day is over. Sleep, dreams, chance to sink beneath the covers and rest. Tomorrow is a new day. No matter the future challenges or disappointments, today was historic, powerful, and inspiring.

I stood in line for 2 hours this morning with hundreds of others to vote in this historic election.

I’m anxious, nervous, excited, tired. Regardless of the outcome tonight, tears will be shed. And I’ll greet tomorrow full of hope or have more reasons to move to Canada someday.
