So much going on right now. Here are some highlights:
- I finally put up the Brilliance redesign (a Jude Law fansite)… like 5 minutes ago. I’m still working on fixing the Gallery, but it’s mostly all up. This took me way too long and was so overdue it was ridiculous. I converted the site to WordPress and put in a simple and clean design (I hope!) I’m happy with it. It’s a very different design compared to most typical actor fansites out there. But I wanted it to be different, I want it to be less busy and easy to navigate. Hopefully, I’ve succeeded. I’ve also met one rad fan who is going to contribute to the site (and already has). I’d love to meet some more like-minded Jude fans who might be interested in helping with the site.
- I went to a Duran Duran listening party held by Sony last week! Not only did I get to hear their fantastic new album, but the guys were there. I finally got my photo taken with Nick and Simon. And had some awesome conversations with Nick and Roger. I’m very tempted to figure out a way to make one of their NY shows now. Roger did tell me I should come. How I’m calm about all this and not fangirling out, I honestly have no idea. *squeeeeee* Okay… I let it out a little there.
- I’ve been bugging Remi for a while now that he should have his own website. Now he does… take a look at BugEyedMonkeys.com. I had a lot of fun designing it for him.
- Posted Day 4 photos from our road trip. Most of the photos are from our drive through Yellowstone, which was incredible and I’m so glad we didn’t go the faster route. We saw Old Faithful, bison, more deer (this time Elk), a wolf (didn’t get a photo of him though), and so many waterfalls. We made it to Edmonton very late that night… when we passed Calgary, we got stuck in the middle of a crazy lightening storm. Rain was pouring in buckets and coming down so hard we had to slow down to be safe and be able to see ahead of us… and lightening was going on all around us. I’ve never seen lightening actually hit the ground and sparks go flying into the air. But now I have and it’s pretty scary when it’s happening 20 feet from you.
- My father-in-law is flying in today for a weekend visit. It’s completely last minute. We only found out he was coming yesterday morning… and it was also a surprise to him too (we found out before he did). He really needs a break from work and Remi’s mom found a great deal on a flight. We’re looking forward to seeing him and I know he’s looking forward to using our condo’s jacuzzi.
- Next week, we head up to Seattle for NWBrickCon. So excited!

Busy, busy, busy. I should start all my posts the same way.
Going to Vegas on Sunday for a few days… It’s going to be fun since I don’t have any reason for going other than tagging along to attend some nice dinners while my guy works a couple hours each day. It will finally be a nice break I’ve been wanting for ages. Plus, keep trying to find time to do a proper Coachella write-up… and you know there was the Phantom Planet show last week (which rocked). And I keep not finding time. Hopefully, I will also get a little sparetime to continue research/planning for our massive road trip in July.
Speaking of… Continue reading

Um. I’m still alive. Just been majorly busy. And getting a bit sick.
I had to finish this gift I was making by mother’s day for my mom. Work has been incredibly hectic. More than usual right now. So much so, I was not able to take off Friday and go to Jay Leno for Ewan. And because of traffic, I didn’t make it in time to see Ewan leave the studio. Ah well.
I spent most of last week finally redesigning and revamping my Jude Law fansite. This has been something I’ve needed to do for months and months. I came up with several discarded designs until finally coming up with the right one. I also did the entire site in PHP. I recently revamped the JRMfansite using PHP. And my first real stab at PHP was redesigning and restarting Glow. It’s going to be a while before all my sites get going with PHP but I’m very happy I’ve started to get the hang of using it. It makes life so much easier (I’m more knowledgeable and comfortable using ASP but most webhosting servers do not have that capablity). Plus I’ve almost completely changed all of my fanlistings to using either PHP or Megabook. I just need to convert one more… and ahem… I’m signed up for 4 more fanlistings that I need to complete.
Yeah. I’ve got issues.
And to top it all off… Blur are trying to kill me! Well… either that or get more money out of me. According to Pollstar (via Val), they are going to play Seattle June 20 and then Vancouver June 21. (Along with Vegas on June 12.) So looks like I’ll be visiting Remi that weekend. Already got pit tickets for Xfest just to see them. Hot Hot Heat were added to the bill. Just as long as they don’t play at the same time, June 15th will be a radness filled day.
Oh… anyone got details regarding the American Idol final to be held at the Universal Amphitheater?
I’ve decided I’m regressing back to my childhood. Well… with my reading habits at least. I’ve been re-reading some of my favorite books from when I was a kid. I’ve zipped through The Westing Game and From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. Now I’m working on Lord of The Flies which I have not read in ages and ages. Catching the movie on Bravo the other day made me pull out my old copy.

I’m so tired I don’t know what I’m doing writing in this instead of passing out in my comfy bed.
I saw Phantom Planet last night. I took some awesome photos I need to scan and share. I had two moments with Sam (my fave). They were wonderful. It was so freaking hot in the Roxy though. There was no air at all. I don’t know how Eddie and I managed to have so much energy. We were rocking out the whole time even though 99% of the crowd was like barely able to move.
It was a pretty insane night. The Lakers won so after we got out of the Roxy, Sunset was packed with cars and people honking their horns and waving flags acting like morons. So Eddie and I proceeded to wave our Phantom Planet t-shirts and scream out Phantom Planet rules to all the cars that drove by and then later as we tried to drive to the Knitting Factory, we blared Duran Duran and were screaming out Duran Duran and various members names. This rad couple walking along Sunset saw us and totally cheered us on when they got what we were doing. It was such a blast.
So we also got into what was supposed to be a private party at the Knitting Factory (it ended up being pretty easy to get ourselves in) and saw Travis perform later that night. I’m not really a fan of Travis because I’m not that familiar with their work but it was fun. Had a moment with Dougie. He is very cool.
Aside from seeing Travis and the cuties from Phantom Planet (again, must mention that Sam rocks!), we saw Selma Blair (Jason’s girl), a random dude from 2gether, Ben Stiller and the Hanson boys. Missed Heath Ledger but he was there at the Travis show. So was the lead singer of Remy Zero and probably tons of other people but we were on the floor not in the VIP balcony of course. What a night!
Made it home to watch my tape of Jay Leno. Jude Law gave me a shock with his new hair (or lack of). Of course, he pulls it off and was dashing, charming and oh so sweet. Need to find out when the premiere is for A.I. The premiere for Fast and the Furious is Monday. I think I will try to go to see Paul Walker walk in. Of course, I’m jealous my co-worker is going to attend the premiere. He thinks I should try and sneak in… um, we’ll see.
Oh, saw Moulin Rouge on Wed. with my parents. My fourth time. It was so magical yet again. Cried more than the first 3 times put together. God that movie rocks!
Ok, sleep, I need sleep. But since I think I’m an insominac, I will probably stay up way too late and watch Roswell episodes on tape. The joy!

I’m so addicted to Roswell fan fic right now… wait, right now… try since the show started. But I just can’t stop reading all the great fan fic out there. Of course, the only fan fic I enjoy is Michael and Maria ones.
My stomach is killing me right now. Yet here I am writing in this sucker. What is wrong with me? I’ve had little time to devote to all my sites. I think I’m no longer going to designs sites for anyone unless they are a friend of mine or a redesign of a site I originally designed. I just don’t have the time or desire anymore. I think I’ll still offer to make buttons and banners. And I want to make fan fic story titles. That would be fun. Otherwise, it’s just taken too much out of my sites that I do want to devote time to. I have literally like 50 photos to add to my Paul Walker and Jude Law sites.
Oh, I want to get another domain. One where I can post my resume and portfolio and nothing else but I don’t know what the heck to get that is creative and meaningful without being lame.

Ah… I’m back. Kinda.
Feel like hell. Too tired. But otherwise, pretty happy with the Brilliance redesign.
LOVED Vancouver. It was so beautiful up there. Got lots of cool goodies… it was a fun trip and we saw so much. We even got to see an awesome free concert by Ashley MacIssac at the University of British Columbia. He is this crazy fiddler from Novia Scotia and probably my boyfriend’s favorite musician. He was incredible and funny and played the fiddle like a mad man.
Great fun. Canadians are crazy and I seriously love one of them.
