Madonna day.
This was one crazy experience. Getting very little sleep, waking up early, getting a ride to the polo fields, running from the main entrance to where they sectioned off the mojave and dance tent. Hearing Madonna sound check and then bam…
The Madge dash.

When I have time I’ll write a more detailed report about my amazing Coachella weekend. I saw a lot of wonderful bands, had a fun time with my friends, took lots of photos…
And I was 3rd row center for Madonna.
I still can’t believe it.

Random music thoughts.
In a week, I’m seeing Sondre at the Troubadour. I haven’t had a chance to get his new album yet. I suck.
Coachella is 4 weeks away.
Getting more and more excited.
Details are coming out about Madonna’s summer tour. She’s kicking it off at the Forum again.

I’m probably going to wait… see how Coachella goes. And if I can’t resist, I’ll just get tickets the day of.
I love Susanna Hoffs. I’ve adored and admired her ever since I was a pre-teen obsessed with the Bangles. She’s still gorgeous and her singing voice has only gotten better with age.
She’s got an new album coming out. Under the Covers. A collaboration with Matthew Sweet where they cover their favorite pop songs from the 60′s. They already played Hotel Cafe early this month and I didn’t even know. Argh. That place is TINY. They are now going to play the Roxy on April 22. And I’m super tempted even if I have to go alone.

Madonna was added to the Coachella bill.
Madonna.
In the Dance Tent on Sunday.
WHAT?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!
Freaking out. So excited. Can’t believe it. This is going to be insane and awesome and I’m jumping out of my skin with anticipation.
I wasn’t that excited by the line up but was looking forward to a more relaxed go of things compared to last year and checking out a lot of new bands. Now with this addition… this is going to be crazy.

I actually watched the Grammy’s this year. I normally will only tune in for a minute or two, get disgusted and change the channel pronto.
From the opening seconds, I got hooked for some unexplainable reason. The show wasn’t any better than previous years and the winners were mostly generic and lame. And don’t get me started on U2 winning as many awards as they did. Makes my blood boil.
But what I did enjoy was seeing Fiona Apple looking gorgeous and how amazing Christina did. She looked great and sounded fabulous. And getting see Damon on US television. Ok, so they only showed him for a brief second when Gorillaz were up for an award, but still. And his voice opened the show!
I had been so looking forward to the opening performance. And the portion with Gorillaz did not disappoint. It was hilarious and cheeky and I couldn’t believe they got away with it. Loved every second. I was however, disappointed that Madonna didn’t interact more with Gorillaz. She was hot but it would have been more interesting if she had done something different than yet another performance of Hung Up – that’s she done before almost the exact same way. Oh well.
Coldplay were just ho-hum for me too. I did like that Chris tried to give Jonny the spotlight when he went out into the audience. But it was ruined when the stupid people doing the lights didn’t even put a light on Jonny when he went into his solo.
Other random musings: Teri Hatcher would be gorgeous if she only gained 10 pounds. Kayne West is the new Michael Jackson. He’s a FREAK. Joss Stone is Joss Lame. Kelly Clarkson’s speeches were terribly cute. The show was too freaking LONG. I can’t believe I watched the whole thing. Next year, I’m only downloading the performances I want to check out. I vow not to get sucked in again. Yep.

Fiddling a bit with the design for this site. It’s still uber boring but I’m out of ideas right now as I work on other design projects and I was tired of the way it was. So spiced it up a tiny bit.
The Tesseract was so amazingly good last night. And Jonny… wow. He was brilliant.
Division of Laura Lee are coming back to LA. Finally! They play the Troubadour on May 12. I’m so there. Even though the French Kicks are doing an instore on the same night. Will just have to go to both.
Madonna is certainly trying to kill me with her new tour. I’m not sweating it. I don’t have tickets to any shows but I’ll figure something out and not break the bank. Saw the recent Showtime Britney special the other night. I couldn’t pay attention. It was so boring. The crowd was asleep. The sound was awful and all the canned vocals didn’t help. The parts where she clearly rips off Madonna were just a pale imitation. She can try all she wants but she’s got nothing on the original boy toy.
Jimmy Eat World is no longer on the Coachella lineup. Why add a band for two days and then remove it? Lame.

Ooh… new look for my weblog. Used Madonna. She is my idol. So why not?
Her new album kicks major butt. I love it. Call me crazy, but I think it’s better than ‘Ray of Light’.
Haven’t checked this in Netscape. I’m sure I’ll be pulling hair. Netscape sucks… they need to stop lagging. I used to only use that browser but I’ve seen the light in the last two years. It’s becoming a dinosaur. But I guess we all are.
And on that happy note…
“Cosmic systems intertwine
Astral bodies drip like wine
All of nature ebbs and flows
Comets shoot across the sky
Can’t explain the reasons why
This is how creation goes”
- Impressive Instant, Madonna
