Instead of dwelling on some crap going on right now, I’m finally posting a variation of this ship meme. Instead of 7 ships, I’m picking 8. I like to be even.
1. List your top seven eight character ships
2. Put all of them in order of your love for them; 7 to 1 1 to 8, 1 being your main fixation.
3. Name the movie/show that they’re in.
4. Supply photos for said people.
5. Tag seven people

- Michael and Maria, Roswell
Michael and Maria were really the first ship that I actively sought out fan fic, wrote my own, created sites for… to this day, I can still lose hours online by finding an old classic fic and rereading it. They had sizzling chemistry and a powerful connection. They were it for each other, no matter how much they drove one another crazy.
- Jackie and Hyde, That 70′s Show
Hilarious, feisty, heart warming, real. Their chemistry was evident from the very first season and I was sold. It took awhile for anything to happen between them, but the sparks were always there. And in my world, season 8 does not exist.
- Lucas and Peyton, One Tree Hill
Brooding artist + brooding athlete = true love. I love me some angst and this couple delivers on that from the pilot on. Season 6 premieres in a couple weeks and I can’t wait to see how their relationship will continue to unfold.
- Angela and Jordan, My So-Called Life
Sigh… the fantasy of crushing on the hottest guy in school. And then he actually notices you. They were flawed, awkward, sweet, messed up, and hot. It wasn’t hard for me to be obsessed from the first episode until the last.
- Jesse and Celine, Before Sunrise/Sunset
Romantic. Real. Beautiful. I adore Before Sunrise to pieces. It’s one of my favorite movies. I still remember seeing this my freshman year of college. I took a bus into town to go and see this. I went by myself, during a time that I felt very disconnected from the people I’d met in college. I was completely charmed watching two complete strangers make that ultimate connection, wondering if that would ever happen to me. And when they announced the same team was going to do a sequel? I was thrilled. I was on the edge of my seat trembling when the lights went down in the front row of a theatre with Ethan, Julie, and Richard sitting not that many rows from me. Before Sunset delivered, exceeding all expectations I may have had. It added more layers to this aching romance and these believable characters.
- Dylan and Kelly, 90210
I have no idea why I was so drawn to the forbidden couple of 90210. There was something about these two lost souls that just grabbed me. It could also be that I couldn’t stand Brenda and Dylan was hot. I didn’t follow the show past Dylan leaving… but I did tune in a few times once he came back to the show. And I loved that it ended with Dylan and Kelly back together. I doubt they are going to reconcile that ending into the new version of the show, so I have very little interest in watching it. That and the posters for it (on so many billboards and bus stops around Los Angeles) are freaking dumb.
- Felicity and Ben, Felicity
Another story that involved a long time crush, where the crush finally noticed the quiet and smart girl. Their chemistry from the pilot on had me always rooting for them. They had lots of ups and downs during the run of the show. What was interesting was that for most of it, they did manage to stay together and work through their problems. It wasn’t typical, it didn’t always make sense, some issues were out of character, but it was mostly well done. And they did end the show on the right note.
- Rory and Dean, Gilmore Girls
A first love told in a touching, realistic, and charming way. The writers ruined things from season 2 on, but there’s something about that magical first season that I still adore to this day.

2004
I’m still alive. Just haven’t felt like posting. Things are happening… life is moving along but I’m just not very motivated right now. Like I’ve lost a spark or voice that feels natural. I’ve tried to start several posts since my last one. Each one never gets finished. I feel so muddled right now. Tired. Lonely. Stressed. Anxious. So here’s the best I can do at the moment. Some random thoughts that have crept into my head or have filled my thoughts these past few weeks.
- That 70′s Show will end after next year’s season. Sad.
- Money. Lack of money sucks.
- I think I’m finally going to get roped into jury duty.
- Teen Witch is an evil movie. No matter if I have somewhere to go or if I have better things to do, if I’m flipping channels and it’s on, I drop everything.
- Dominic Monaghan is really unattractive. His under bite and weird way his mouth juts out and moves to the side when he talks bugs me. This is pathetic of me, I know.
- My new crush is Matthew Goode. So hot. Go see Chasing Liberty. It will make you smile. Unless you’re a co-co-cold hearted snake.
- The new PP album is radness. It’s such a step up from their previous work and I really adore that it captures the energy they have when live. Their instore at Tower on the 10th was fun. I continue to love Sam. But it was too damn hot out. It’s supposed to be winter right? Bleh. That’s Los Angeles for you. Gorgeous 80 degree weather in the middle of January.
- Since after Christmas I’ve been immersed in the world of the His Dark Materials trilogy. I’ve never been so emotionally invested in a series of novels before. To the point where I would have to put the book down before getting to certain parts, afraid of what might happen, or because I had to calm myself as I sobbed uncontrollably. They simply floored me and made me reflect on life, death, religion, faith, and love. They will sit with me, in my thoughts and heart, for a long time to come.

Can life get any sweeter? Not only are more friends now able to go to Coachella but now my boy is flying down for it too. We didn’t think it would be possible, but we managed to find a great flight for the cheapest price we’ve seen yet. I’m so giddy.
Plus, according to Peter Jackson, the extended edition of The Two Towers will have 43 minutes of additional material! (Ignore the part where he mentions they’ve already cut 25 minutes from Return of the King or my mood will turn sour.)
Clay was simply wonderful last night on AI. Gave me much giddiness and smiles.
There’s a new episode of That 70′s Show on tonight. (Don’t think about spoilers and it’s all good.) Plus more AI.
Ash are going to do a headlining tour starting next month. Not only will I see them in Los Angeles, but there’s a good chance I’ll see them in Seattle now too.
I just bought the new Harry Potter DVD. And the new Roger Rabbit DVD.
I finally ordered new glasses. And computer glasses too. So my eyes will feel much better soon I hope. (I’ve been getting massive headaches lately and my eyes have been seriously bugging out.)
I saw The Datsuns last Saturday night. They blew all the hype out of the water by rocking so hard. Amazing. Incredible. Definitely one of the top shows of the year so far. I had a smile on my face almost the entire time. (Minus the drunk leech trying to molest me for half the night.)
I’m going see Moulin Rouge Friday night with all kinds of buddies to sing along at the top of my lungs.
I’m sure there’s more goodness… but I’m already rambling on far too long.
Even though my DSL at home is crap and not working cause my phone lines apparently suck ass and there’s all the woes going on in the world (if I stop my selfishness for a second and reflect), the sun is shining. The sky is blue. And I’m breathing. I’m safe. I’m happy. I’m looking forward to things. Today is a good day.

2002
Two things have so far made my day.
American Cinematheque is doing a Steve McQueen retrospective at the Egyptian. I want to go and see every single screening. I think I’m definitely going to see The Great Escape, Bullitt, The Thomas Crown Affair, and The Magnificent Seven. I wish they were playing Love With the Proper Stranger as that’s my favorite Steve film… but just to see anything on the big screen with him is going to be such a treat.
And season one of Felicity is coming out on DVD. Oh yeah. I can’t wait to get The Fugue. Simon Rex. Eli. Yum. Plus the last episodes of that season where full of Felicity and Ben chemistry lessons.
I didn’t go to see Haven last night… which I guess turned out to be good since they didn’t end up performing. Poor Iwan got all of his wisdom teeth pulled and has been out of commission for a while.
HOORAY! New That 70′s Show episodes tonight. A full hour of Hyde and Jackie goodness!
